Jasmine Zhao, Centre Director/ Owner

Tertiary education background

  • Graduated from the University of Melbourne- Master of teaching (early childhood);
  • Bachelor of Education (Primary) from RMIT University.
  • Qualified Primary school teacher and Kindergarten Teacher.

Work History and industry experiences:

Since 2004, Jasmine has been working with pre-school children for Chinese tutoring. When Graduated from Melbourne University in 2009, she started teaching in long day care centres as a Kindergarten teacher. In 2012, she accepted a position offer to work as a community co-ordinator for the disadvantage aboriginal children in the Murray Valley region.

In 2014, True Maple Bilingual ELC was established in Blackburn south, with the vision to promote the benefit of second language learning in pre-school age children. The centre also has a strong focus on community belonging and safety strategies implanted thru out our policies and educational programs.

Shereen Marney, Second in Charge


  • Graduated from Mother Craft nurse in 1989
  • Obtained Associate Diploma in Children’s service in 1992

Work History and industry experiences:

The majority of Shereen’s work life has been spent in the childcare field, such as a mothercraft nurse; play group leader; foster carer, both volunteer and as a foster parent. Shereen also has extensive working experience as an early childhood educator.

All our educators have up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis trainings.
